| Rapp's growth was built on services for the construction industry. Some 10 years ago Rapp withdrew from construction work to concentrate fully on the provision of engineering consultancy and design services. These are now the centre of the Group's activities.
Questions relating to the operation and management of plant and infrastructure have taken on more importance. Advisory services relating to the maintenance and use of existing facilities are now one of the Group's core competences. Rapp builds new facilities when needed and maintains existing facilities as long as they can be economically justified. Advances in technology, in particular in the field of informatics, provide solutions which go beyond the modification and optimisation of existing facilities. This is fully in line wíth our motto: intelligent systems - sustainable solutions.
