1. Climate Protection and Climate Adaptation
Rapp aims for climate neutrality and demonstrably promotes sustainable construction, sustainable mobility and the use of renewable energies.
The warming of the Earth's atmosphere is leading to changes in the global climate system. The building sector is responsible for almost 40% of all energy-related and process-related emissions. Climate protection measures in the building and construction sector are among the most cost-efficient and effective levers. Source
The mobility sector also contributes significantly to climate change, accounting for 32% of total emissions in Switzerland.
It is important to pursue efficient and sufficient concepts that limit emissions but are also compatible with future climate conditions. Droughts, urban overheating and floods are just some of the challenges our current infrastructure will have to face in the future.
Specific targets by the end of 2023
- Rapp is reducing direct and indirect emissions compared to 2022 and is establishing a control system with a reduction path.
- Rapp is reducing its own waste at all sites compared to 2022 through the 3Rs: reduce, reuse, recycle.
- Rapp promotes sustainable construction, sustainable mobility, and offers advisory services for adapting to climate change.
